Explanation

The Mechanical Examiner primary goal is to organize and regulate implementation of inspections, evaluate all process and auxiliary tools so that the requirement of each piece of tools can be tracked and preserved at a high level of operating effectiveness.

What You'll Be Doing 

  • The Examiner communicates routinely with the processes staff to gain information on any challenges or matters they may possess about the tools and the way it is affecting the process.
  • The incumbent also evaluation conditions to decide whether it is a mechanical, electrical or operating issue and endorses initiatives to correctly utilize all assets accessible.
  • Studies tools challenges and endorses modifications or replacements of it.
  • Investigates repetitive challenges and begins corrective servicing & maintenance standardized processes.
  • Repeatedly informs Generation, Process and Servicing & maintenance of the operating requirement of tools and advises those in charge when a piece of tools should be shut down in order to prevent loss to said tools or injury to any of the plant staff.
  • The Incumbent arranges all Preventive and Predictive Servicing & maintenance Inspections carried out on plant tools.
  • The incumbent will guarantee adherence with safety procedures and standardized processes, accessibility of safety tools and that first assist treatment is offered when necessary.
  • Make sure that there possesses been a work order entered in CMMS to cover modifications or repairs to tools, checks for the proper tools number, adequate explanation of the request, suitable priority code and workshop or plant code.
  • Help in the organizing of systematic overhauls of key tools
  • Systematic assessment and data recording of all plant tools with check in to suitable people.
  • Carry out specific and precision obligations as lead alignment, launch gear assessment as checking of root clearances, wobble, eccentricity checks, institute balancing of new installation supervising stop checks on bearings, basic NDT inspections etc.
  • Project setup of the routine shift plan for the PMR duty in accordance with tools needs while utilizing CMMS to record and track tools record files.
  • Document all temperatures, pressures and any applicable information, which may be used for evaluation from CCR.
  • The incumbent is also the plant person in charge of the mechanical honesty and reliability of the plant’s machinery
  • The incumbent is in charge and should possess data pertaining to reliability so that he can evaluate, and advise departments on the information needed to execute RCFA (i.e. vibrations, temperatures, hours, causes, Pareto charts etc.)
  • Ensure consistent involvement and relation of the team for RCA/RCM process as and when necessary for allocate machines executes other obligations which includes preserving work records and servicing & maintenance fix record data records, participating scheduled meetings with servicing & maintenance engineers.
  • Engage in the Servicing & maintenance Manager On-Call Programme.

What We Are Seeking

  • Bachelors Academic qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or any other associated Engineering site 
  • 3 - 5 years of expertise in Mechanical Engineering, which includes rotating machines, tools servicing & maintenance, requirement supervising, in cement production operations organisation, refinery, power or heavy process plant. 
  • Expertise in gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding methods, lubrication, and mechanical non-destructive running test.
  • Adequate Expertise connected with tools operation & servicing & maintenance (Crusher, Stacker, Reclaimer, Unedited mill, Belt Conveyors & Aux. Tools)
  • Good expertise in Machinery Requirement Supervising technical solutions and servicing & maintenance philosophies.
  • Capability to trouble shoot challenges and propose corrective actions.
  • Outstanding expertise in vibration evaluation, oil evaluation, wear measurement, thermography, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiography, etc. 
  • Expertise in safety compliance standards.
  • Good expertise in plant tools.
  • Expertise in the Cement process is crucial.
  • Solid understanding of various simple measuring resources.
  • Computer literacy.
