About the Position

The purpose of the LXD team is to build a next-production private cloud structure, joining KVM, Ceph, and SDN technical solutions to produce a information infrastructure scale cloud that 'just works' and delivers a purpose-critical cloud for edge and core enterprise deployments. We are recruiting a Golang software developer to operate on the low level Go codebase sitting between our REST API and the low level C libraries used to oversee containers and virtual machines.  We are seeking system-level developers with expertise in design and data governance/modeling. LXD parts span the full scope of software stack from low-level kernel capabilities to the upper level management API/CLI. Our most efficient engineers are fluent in all these layers, and capable to expect the results of design and engineering choices elsewhere in a sophisticated distributed system. This is an avenue for someone who wants to possess a meaningful effect on modern cloud processing technical solutions.
