Job Description

The store officer is in charge of the productive management, storage, and issuance of building materials, resources, and tools in-field.
This position ensures precise stock regulate, prompt allocation of materials to assist ongoing projects, and full compliance to organisation procurement and safety rules.
The store officer will preserve structured storage zones, keep thorough records of inventory movement, and collaborate with the procurement and project teams to guarantee uninterrupted process.

Preserve precise records of all materials, resources, and tools received, stored, and issued.
Carry out consistent inventory counts and resolve with stock records.
Ensure proper labelling and storage of all items to prevent loss or loss. Examine supplies to guarantee quantity, quality, and specification adherence.
Document and modify goods received and issued in the stock system.
Organize prompt issuance of materials to on-site teams based on authorized requests.
Track inventory levels and inform the procurement team when replenishment is essential.
Execute first-in, first-out (FIFO) standardized processes to minimise wastage.
Preserve proper submitting of dispatch notes, requisitions, and stock documentation.
Organize routine, on a weekly basis, and every month inventory documentation for management evaluate.
Follow organisation rules, procurement standard procedures, and safety rules.
Ensure storage zones are clean, structured, and free from risks.
Coordinate with procurement, PMs, and on-site supervisors to guarantee smooth material flow.
Documentation discrepancies or impaired goods at once for prompt solution.

At least an OND or equivalent certification in store management, stock chain, business management, or a relevant field (Higher national diploma/Bsc is a plus).
At least 2 years’ demonstrated expertise as a store officer, ideally in the building or engineering industry.
Solid understanding of stock management, inventory regulate, and warehouse standardized processes.
Competence in using stock management software and Office productivity software resources (Excel, Word).
Good comprehension of building materials, resources, and tools.
Robust meticulousness, precision, and planning abilities.
Capability to operate under pressure and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication and people skills.
Physical stamina to manage loading/unloading and prolonged standing.
Dedication to safety guidelines and standardized processes.
