Chef / Kitchen Support at Beta Jollof Restaurant in Eleyele - Ibadan, Oyo

Position Overview

The Chef / Kitchen Support is in charge of helping in the project setup, cooking, and visual communication of food, while making sure the kitchen remains clean, structured, and conforming with hygiene guidelines.

Primary duties

• Organize and chef food items according to recipes and quality benchmarks.
• Help with washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen, work surfaces, and utensils clean and sanitized.
• Help with receiving, unpacking, and storing food inventory.
• Preserve proper storage and labeling of food to prevent spoilage.
• Follow all food hygiene, safety, and health rules.
• Help chefs and kitchen employees during occupied service periods.
• Dispose of waste properly and preserve cleanliness in food project setup zones.

Competencies & Credentials

• Previous expertise in a kitchen position is a plus.
• Expertise in food project setup methods and hygiene procedures.
• Capability to operate in a dynamic environment.
• Good collaboration and verbal abilities.
• Physical stamina for standing and moving for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Exposure to heat, noise, and sharp utensils. Requires standing for long hours and occasional lifting.
