Work tasks
- Capability to sail / maneuver vessels. Organize and supervise all beach processes, which includes the arrival, exit, and berthing of vessels, in addition to the loading and unloading of cargo and passengers.
- Coordinate with vessel chief commanders, port governing bodies, and other participants to guarantee smooth and productive beach processes, which includes compliance to plans and safety procedures.
- Readiness to sail remote marine operations on stop-disparity/salvage processes.
- Direct and oversee beach crew members, allocating obligations, offering development, and making sure adherence with business standardized processes and safety rules.
- Track weather terms, tidal patterns, and other ecological factors that may effect beach processes, and execute suitable measures to reduce risk risks.
- Examine beach facilities, tools, and structure routinely to guarantee capability and safety, managing servicing & maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Preserve precise records and recordkeeping of beach initiatives, which includes vessel movements, cargo managing, staff/crew tasks, and safety incidents.
- Take action promptly and productively to crises, accidents, and other incidents, executing crisis standardized processes and managing possessing applicable governing bodies.
- Stay informed about industry progress updates, rules, and industry standards connected with beach processes, and execute enhancements as necessary.
- The Beach Master helps the Port Chief commander and Chief, Processes in crew and harbour / jetty management to guarantee vessels are crewed, operated and preserved in accordance with compliance obligations and organisation guidelines. Concerns leave to remote marine operations crew and record crew disposition.
- The Beach Master is in charge of secure berthing of vessels at the base jetty.
- Carry out pre and post deploying sea field experiments of vessels in conjunction with other units as necessary. Comprehension of vessels pre-mob requirements
- Carry out standard procedure checks on the Navigation tools and documentation the status to the Port Chief commander and Chief, Processes.
- Manages all daily Seaport operations initiatives inside the base which includes harbour Processes.
- Sustains connections with the remote marine operations crew with a view to their accessibility, planning and deployments without undue favoritism.
- In charge of reception, classification, storage and dispatch of all portable or movable items onboard or dispatched to/from the port. This he possesses to do in communication link with Stock Chain, Quality, health, safety, security and environment and Engineering.
- Examine vessels to guarantee seaworthy terms, check in servicing & maintenance, and fix initiatives to accurate deficiencies after sea field experiments.
- In charge of oversight at all phases of deck processes at the base, and ship husbandry (vessels cleaning, painting and room maintenance services).
- Coordinate with the Port Chief commander and Chief, Processes for Government Guard Forces and their accessories mobility on and off OMS Boats (pre and post deploying).
- Coordinate with the Quality, health, safety, security and environment Department and help in the execution of all Maritime Codes, IMO rules, ISM Code and vessels inspections.
- Executes any responsibility allocated by the Port Chief commander and/or Chief, Processes.
Expertise:
- At least 5 years applicable professional background in a Maritime, Petroleum sector Organisation either as a former seagoing Chief commander or Beach / Harbour Master.
- Capability to sail / maneuver vessels. Readiness to sail remote marine operations on stop-disparity basis / salvage processes.
- Comprehension and previous expertise in the execution of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and 45001 is a plus.
