Job Description

We are seeking a proficient and driven Sous Cook to assist our kitchen processes and uphold the highest guidelines of food project setup and hygiene.
The preferred candidate should possess robust expertise in both Nigerian and continental cuisine, and be capable to head and motivate the kitchen team.
You will collaborate with the Chief Cook to oversee routine kitchen initiatives, which includes directing employees, making sure food quality, and preserving workplace safety and wellness guidelines.

Assist the Chief Cook in routine kitchen processes and food generation.
Ensure regular project setup and visual communication of premium quality meals, which includes local and continental dishes.
Oversee kitchen employees, allocate duty, and ensure smooth process during service.
Preserve outstanding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness across all kitchen zones
Track food inventory and inventory; help in ordering and stock regulate.
Educate entry-level kitchen employees and help with results tracking.
Step into the Chief Cook’s position in their absence.
Reduce food waste and oversee kitchen expenses productively.

Demonstrated expertise as aSous Chefin a occupied dining venue or hospitality setting
Effective guidance and team management abilities
Deep understanding of various cuisines, cooking methods, and kitchen processes
Outstanding corporate and time-leadership abilities
Capability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Culinary accreditation or certification from a identified institution preferred
Deep knowledge of kitchen financials, which includes food cost and waste regulate.
