Job Description
Overview
Jhpiego is looking for a State Organizer to offer strategic executive guidance, programme monitoring, and participant relation for all Jhpiego-helped health programs in Anambra State. The State Supervisory role will act as the primary delegate of Jhpiego in the state, making sure premium quality execution, synchronization with government and associates, and alignment with national and state health key focuses. Particularly, STL will offer complete executive guidance and strategic monitoring for the execution of Progressing Combined Health Solutions Dispatch, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Communicable Diseases, in addition to other Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health initiatives in Anambra State, Nigeria. This position requires an exceptional leader who can oversee sophisticated, multi-disease programming while making sure rights-based approaches, managing multifaceted strategic collaborations, and supplying quality health solutions within Nigeria's agile healthcare environment.
Technical Programme Execution
- Offer technical direction to guarantee evidence-based, high-effect interventions across programme zones (e.g., RMNCH, TB/HIV, STI, malaria, health operational structures strengthening).
- Assist standard enhancement programs and skills development of health workers and institutions
- Guarantee standard dispatch of complete SRHR solutions and communicable diseases in line with set targets
- Assist healthcare worker skills development for combined service offering
- Advance assignment-exchanging and assignment-adapting approaches to enhance HR for health
- Strengthen referral operational structures between group and facility-based solutions
Necessary Credentials
- MSC in community health, Medicine, Nursing, Epidemiology, or associated health site. PhD in any of the fields is a plus
- Additional expert development in SRHR, RMNCAH+N, or combined health programming with Accreditation in project coordination, health operational structures strengthening, or rights-based programming is a plus
- At least 6-8 years of progressive expertise in community health programme management
- Exhibited executive guidance expertise coordinating large-scale, multi-million-dollar health programs and expertise operating donor-financed programs (e.g., USAID, Worldwide Financial support, BMGF etc
- Established history operating with Nigerian government health operational structures at state and local government levels
- Expertise coordinating multicultural teams and various executing associates across different disease zones
- Fluency in English (documented and verbal) – crucial
- Practical understanding of Igbo is an asset.
Operating Terms:
- Role based in allocated state capital with regular commute throughout the state (up to 50% commute time), which includes rural and hard-to-reach networks
- Involvement in evening and weekend initiatives for public involvement and participant sessions
- Work in multifaceted environments which includes health facilities, group settings, and government workspaces
- Entry to project vehicles, information exchange tools, and guard assist as needed.
