Health Informatics Consultant at Jhpiego Nigeria in Abuja

Position Overview

Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Tertiary institution, is executing digital health initiatives to assist HIV/Helps care and treatment, in addition to broader community health programs. As part of ongoing system enhancements and programme growth, Jhpiego looks for staff to execute a series of technical upgrades, refinements, and adherence status reports for its omnichannel platforms-based health applications.

Outputs

• Executed modifications and bug fixes recognized in deployed states.
• Modularized codebase assisting plug-and-play modules for new disease zones (e.g., TB, MNCH) with architecture recordkeeping.
• Operational availability settings (e.g., font scaling, screen reader assist, colour contrast), user recordkeeping.
• Combined and tested risk score model based on amended ML algorithms. Model recordkeeping and code.
• User interface part and backend logic for archival risk practices per customer.
• Customized Firebase Cloud Communication tone (or equivalent), alert service, and User interface consolidation.
• Upgraded user updates during sync (e.g., advancement, success/setback messages, retry logic).
• Surveys deactivated or removed, current acquire code and recordkeeping.
• Amended data collection, use, and confidentiality recordkeeping provided to IRB.
• State teams prepared on the use of the Customer Management app. 

Necessary Credentials

• Bachelor’s or MSC in computer science, Health Informatics, or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of expertise in digital health system development.
• Demonstrated expertise with:
• Android app development (Jetpack Draft, Kotlin)
• Backend development (e.g., Spring Boot, Node.js)
• Machine learning model consolidation
• Modular software architecture
• Real-time update frameworks (e.g., FCM)
• Availability guidelines (WCAG)
• Understanding with IRB methods and data ethics in health operational structures.
• Robust recordkeeping and verbal abilities.
