Job Description

Objective of Activity / Task

To handle these critical differences and improve the system’s responsiveness to shocks, a new project jointly executed by UNICEF and the International Work Company (ILO) with financing from the European Union was introduced in 2024. This EU-UN Joint Program (EU-UN JP) titled "Assisting Maintainable Community-related Protection System in Nigeria (SUSI)” goals to strengthen Nigeria’s community-related protection system at both federal and state levels (Abia, Benue, Oyo, and Sokoto). The project aligns with the Renewed Hope Schedule and the Federal Government’s Eight-Point Schedule, and is anchored in Nigeria’s National Development Strategy (2021–2025) and the amended National Community-related Protection Regulatory framework.

Skills development:

Coordinate development sessions on evidence-based support for UNICEF SP CO and FOs and selected executing associates. Offer mentoring and technical guidance to UNICEF executing work collaboratively on how to arrange media briefings, dialogues, and narrative creation channels to enhance voices of recipients and champions of community-related protection.

Duty/Achievement:

To grow competencies and expertise in UNICEF Community-related Regulatory framework team on evidence-based support and to assist development of support plan Outputs/Results: 2 days workshop (tbc in-field).

Duty/Achievement: 

Formulate a complete support and information exchange plan to improve community-related protection and PFM reforms helped by UNICEF  Outputs/Results: Implementable support plan with support targets, key messages, tactics and initiatives (2025-2027), which includes Federal and state level.

Duty/Achievement:

Offer technical inputs into company of a participants' forum in Abuja and across Abia, Benue, Sokoto, and Oyo states to debate the first prepare of a community-related protection invoice.

Outputs/Results:

  • A idea note for a participants' forum
  • Technical check ins on project setup and execution
  • Information exchange bundle completed with inputs on online posts, emails, and invitations, press releases.
