Role description
- The Asset Mobilization & Capital raising Support Lagos will assist the execution of Devatop’s business development and collaboration plan in Lagos.
- The position includes helping in donor mapping, proposal synchronization, collaboration outreach, and coordinating relation with potential board of backers and private sector participants.
- The Support will collaborate with the Chief of Business Development to guarantee strategic positioning and visibility for Devatop’s work in the Nigeria.
Primary duties
- Help in recognizing and profiling possibility donors, backers, and corporate associates within Lagos.
- Assist in arranging donor and board of advocate relation initiatives, sessions, and follow-ups.
- Engage in composing and customizing introductory emails, proposals, idea notes, and visual communication materials as needed.
- Preserve information exchange with current and potential associates in Lagos, under the direction of the business development (BD) Unit.
- Organize logistics for business development-associated events and sessions in Lagos.
- Deliver promptly status reports, on-site documentation, and recordkeeping of BD-associated initiatives to the Abuja BD unit.
- Assist track practices and avenues applicable to Devatop’s themes (TIP, GBV, youth empowerment, civic-technology).
- Collaborate with the messaging team to enhance Devatop’s visibility to Lagos-based donors and participants.
- Preserve a reach out DB and relation tracker of all business development initiatives in Lagos.
- Execute other applicable obligations as allocated by the Chief of Business Development.
Credentials
- Bsc in development Studies, Business, Community-related Sciences, Communications, or associated fields.
- At least 1 - 2 years’ expertise in capital raising, strategic collaborations, or nonprofit programming.
- Clear expression and people skills.
- Good drafting and public speaking, especially for proposals and donor information exchange.
- Understanding with Lagos business and nonprofit networks is a plus.
- Capability to operate independently, with minimal oversight.
- Competence in Ms office tools and Google Workspace.
