Job Description
Position Overview
In collaboration with the China Export-Import (EXIM) Bank and CGCOC Group, UNICEF is assisting the Government of Nigeria to supply a complete approach to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and primary health care in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Building on the Abuja Water Stock Project—which delivers piped water to over 1.5 million residents, this new program, executed through UNICEF, goals to enhance the community influence of the current structure. By joining dependable water stock with strong sanitation and hygiene solutions, health system strengthening, and public involvement, the plan looks for to enhance the health and well-being of at risk households, pregnant women, newborns and children. In alignment with Nigeria’s national development plans and worldwide obligations to the Maintainable Development Targets (SDGs), the collaboration speaks for a significant avenue to support towards delivering SDGs 3, 6, and 17, making sure a safer, more equitable, and maintainable future for networks across the FCT. The State Health Facilitator is the focal point of UNICEF’s technical support to FCTA health department towards the dispatch of the plan. He further executes synchronization and communication link positions for the plan, advocating UNICEF’s interests and key focuses towards efficient collaboration for the intervention.
Core tasks and Duty
- Offer IT assistance to FCT management towards the efficient execution of the Strengthening Welcoming Health Results through an
- Combined WASH and Health Program in the Federal Capital Territory
- Assist the organizing, execution, and supervising of PHC programs/interventions in FCT, its LGAs, and networks: Assist the development
- of project specific work strategies as integral to the entire FCT AoPs.
- Assist multi-sectoral PHC programming in FCT, which includes consolidation with WaSH, nutrition, SBC, and child protection.
- Collaborate with FCTA to carry out evidence based PHC employee evaluation for FCT.
- Support to the development of data-associated capacity, resources, evidence production and/or operational structures for program supervising and learning strategy
- Support to the execution of all UNICEGF helped programs in FCTA, which includes PHC Executive guidance difficulty, immunization and RMNCAH
- programs.
- Support to the tracking and status updates of community health crises, and to the implementation of FCTA PHE response strategy.
- Render every month programme status reports and execution documentation for PHC dispatch in FCT, which includes status updates, recordkeeping and development of
- programme-associated expertise goods.
Outputs
- Programme workplan with thorough Execution Gantt chart.
- Every month programme status reports and every quarter documentation of the multisectoral intervention.
- Every month FCT HMIS documentation, which includes evidence of finalize status updates from all FCT HFs.
- Current every month PHC execution dashboard.
- Quertaerly (every month during outbreaks) PHE surveillance documentation
Work Expertise:
A minimum of 5 years’ expertise in health programming and management at sub-national levels. Reliable background multi-sectorial synchronization, Outcomes-Based Measurement and in health program M&E
Language:
Fluency in English language and skilled in writing
