Position Overview

The Accounting officer is in charge of settlement and settlement initiatives and will offer income guarantee to the bank.

Duties

• Ensure routine settlement and posting of all of all financial record and offer routine/on a weekly basis settlement and settlement documentation.
• Assist the E-business team in addressing settlement and settlement matters.
• Track earnings/fees and ensure value is promptly transferred to the bank.
• Confirm the incoming and outgoing payments on e-channel accounts.
• Resolve financial statements with entries in the bank ledger on a routine/on a weekly basis/every month basis and show the settlement documentation.
• Organize routine and on a weekly basis documentation on over/under-settlement of financial record.
• Recognize, check in and explore unreconciled financial record or discrepancies to enable prompt outcomes.⁠
• Coordinating with routinely with various bank accounting officers on concerns concerning direct debits, standing orders, unidentified credits and charges from time to time.⁠
• Observes the inference on loan and facilities with various banks and matches with terms and terms in of the proposal.
• Coordinate with the settlement bank and payment processing companies on possibility under-settlement and ensure the solution of concerns recognized in line with the organization’s rules and standardized processes.
• Guarantee promptness project setup and fair visual communication of financial records, balance sheet and income statement and tax/statutory withholding returns in accordance with internal standardized processes and rules, IFRS accounting guidelines and all relevant compliance obligations and utilize financial statements and records for executive review, board of directors or other participants as necessary.
• Ensures prompt project setup of ALCO, Liquidity and Cash documentation.
• Preserve ownership over precision and thoroughness of all adjustments, internal documentation and external party documentation.
• Preserve settlement records.
• Sending routine dashboard answer to management.
• Assist end of day/month and year process.
• Carry out any other assignment upon demand under leadership.

Role expectations

• Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree Academic qualification in Accounting, Economics or a relevant field.
• Bsc in Accounting/Finance from a reputable Tertiary institution.
• Evidence of finalization/ exemption of/from NYSC.
• ⁠ICAN or ACCA certification.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of expertise in internal auditing, financial confirmation, or accounting, ideally in the banking or microfinance sector.
• Expertise in a Microfinance bank setting in relevant position is a plus.
• Expertise in banking processes, microfinance rules, and finance Management.
