Furniture / Interior Woodwork Designer at ZBom Home Nigeria in Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

We are seeking a innovative, meticulous Designer with expertise in furniture and interior woodwork design. The preferred candidate will be in charge of developing, designing, and getting ready precise technical drawings for custom wood furniture and fittings in line with customer qualifications and organisation guidelines.

Primary duties

• Formulate innovative and operational designs for custom furniture and woodwork goods which includes kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, doors, and paneling.
• Convert customer qualifications into thorough Two- and three-dimensional visual strategies, layouts, and renderings.
• Organize precise technical drawings and requirements for generation using CAD resources.
• Work alongside sales, generation, and installation teams to guarantee practicality and visual precision of designs.
• Carry out on-site visits and take precise measurements as required.
• Endorse appropriate materials, finishes, and fittings for each project.
• Show visual strategies to customers and make modifications based on response.
• Preserve a DB of predefined layouts and product catalogs for effectiveness.
• Stay current with market trends, materials, and technical solutions in furniture and interior design.
• Verify that every designs meet safety, ergonomic, and operational guidelines.

Preferred:

• Expertise with graphic design resources (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Expertise in Nigerian building codes and local material suppliers.
• Previous work in a franchise or in-store environment.
• Basic comprehension of cost estimation and financial planning for design projects.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid position with time split between workspace/design studio and customer sites.
• Requires on-site visits for measurements and customer discussions, commute across urban zones.
• Onsite work includes extended computer use and partnership with cross-operational teams.
• Occasional involvement in trade shows or customer events to highlight design capabilities.
