Engineer - VAS Communication tone Processes at MTN Nigeria in Nigeria

Role summary

The Engineer VAS - Communication tone Processes will answer to the Manager: Communication tone Processes; the individual SPOC for communication tone for MTN GC. The individual is in charge of organizing, designing, supplying, and assisting the Communication tone initiatives in line with the organizational needs

Credentials Education: 

• At least 4-year Academic Academic qualification (B Eng. / Bachelor's degree Academic qualification preferred)  
• Applicable accreditation/certification/membership with specialist body as necessary for position  
• Fluent in English and language of country (recommended)  

Expertise: 

• 5+ years’ expertise in an engineering site 
• Specialist in SMS/SS7/IP/SMPP data initiatives 
• Expertise with SMS Routing, Hub and Firewall tech 
• Expertise in UNIX-Solaris, AIX, HPUX, Windows, Linux and cloud tech 
• Comprehension of Adjustment Management Life Cycle Principles 
• System Assist and Trouble Evaluation competencies (root cause evaluation, alarm management channels, diagnosing issues, etc.) 
• Steward & System Management competencies 
• Expertise in Evaluation Resources  
• Hardware installation and fix competencies 
• Expertise in OSI network procedure design 
• Expertise in Setup, Backup, and Restoral methods necessary to assist the telephony/voice structure 
• Expertise using and drafting system manuals 
•  High level vendor qualifications (i.e., Cisco certified network associate) 
•  Capability to head technical groups 
• Specialist logical and analytical abilities 
• Must possess background in eTOM, SID and NGOSS Structure. 
• Clear articulation and public speaking, both verbal and documented. 
• Capability to solve challenges using a innovative and logical mind set. 
• Performed across multifaceted cultures and geographies (advantageous)
