Position Overview
- We are seeking a skilled Mechanical & Hydraulics Operational structures Engineer requiring at least five (5) years of industry expertise to join our team.
- The successful applicant will be in charge of the design, evaluation, and consolidation of mechanical and hydraulic operational structures across various remote marine operations and onshore petroleum sector facilities.
- Competence in AutoCAD and other applicable engineering software is essential. Applicants must possess a deep knowledge of petroleum sector project implementation, from idea through to initiating.
- Competence in French is assessed a plus, as many of our customers operate in French-speaking regions.
Primary duties
- Design and formulate mechanical and hydraulic operational structures for remote marine operations channels, subsea system setups, FPSOs, and topside facilities.
- Organize thorough technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using AutoCAD and similar composing software.
- Carry out simulations and evaluation using resources which includes SolidWorks, ANSYS, HydraCAD, FluidSIM, or EPLAN Fluid (relying on system needs).
- Select parts which includes pumps, actuators, valves, cylinders, and other hydraulic system elements based on project requirements and operational qualifications.
- Organize system layouts, P&IDs, hydraulic schematics, and invoice of materials (BoM).
- Execute engineering calculations connected with fluid flow, pressure drops, load allocation, power qualifications, etc.
- Ensure designs adhere with international codes and guidelines which includes API, ISO, ASME, DNV, and IEC.
- Organize with instrumentation, structural, electrical, and engineering of processes disciplines to guarantee system compatibility and capability.
- Assist procurement, fabrication, FAT (Factory Acceptance Running test), installation, initiating, and diagnosing issues initiatives.
- Engage in design assessments, technical audits, and HAZOP/HAZID workshops.
- Preserve standards guarantee and Health, safety, and environment adherence in all project phases.
Credentials and Expertise
- Bsc in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or associated discipline (MSC is a plus).
- At least 5 years expertise in mechanical and hydraulic operational structures engineering in the petroleum sector industry.
- Competence in AutoCAD and exposure to other technical software which includes:
- Reliable Works or Autodesk Inventor (Three-dimensional rendering and mechanical design)
- ANSYS Mechanical (FEA simulations)
- HydraCAD, EPLAN Fluid, or FluidSIM (hydraulic circuit design)
- Mathcad or Engineering Equation Solver (EES) (engineering calculations)
- Solid understanding of hydraulic principles and mechanical tools used in petroleum sector applications.
- Expertise with rotating tools, piping operational structures, and subsea or topside hydraulic regulate operational structures.
- Understanding with remote marine operations guidelines and industry standards connected with mechanical and hydraulic operational structures.
- French language skill will be an added advantage, especially for partnership with Francophone customers and project participants.

- Understanding with requirement supervising and predictive servicing & maintenance resources.
