Position Overview
We are looking for a highly proficient and inspired Civil engineer requiring at least five (5) years of related experience to join our engineering team. The successful applicant will be in charge of executing load evaluation and design of remote marine operations and onshore systems in the petroleum sector industry, making sure adherence with industry guidelines, project requirements, and customer qualifications. Competence in Ansys and other top structural engineering software is crucial.
Primary duties
- Execute thorough load evaluation and design calculations for fixed and floating remote marine operations channels, topsides, subsea systems, modules, and connected tools.
- Utilize finite element evaluation (FEA) resources which includes ANSYS, SACS, STAAD.Pro, or similar software for linear and nonlinear evaluation, fatigue, buckling, modal evaluation, etc.
- Formulate and evaluate structural models, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Organize design recordkeeping which includes design bases, requirements, data sheets, material take-offs, and engineering outputs.
- Verify that every engineering initiatives are executed in accordance with international codes and guidelines which includes API, DNV, AISC, ISO, and ASME.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams which includes mechanical, piping, naval, process, and Health, safety, and environment engineers to guarantee design honesty and reliability and alignment with project goals.
- Engage in design assessments, risk evaluations, constructability assessments, and customer sessions.
- Offer engineering assist during fabrication, installation, and initiating phases as needed.
- Preserve standards regulate and compliance to health, safety, and ecological (HSE) procedures in all design initiatives.
Credentials and Expertise
- Bsc in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (MSC is a plus, but is not necessary).
- At least 5 years industry experience in structural engineering, with a robust concentration on petroleum sector projects.
- Exhibited competence in using Ansys and other structural engineering software (e.g., SACS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
- Exhibited competence in using AutoCAD
- Deep knowledge of remote marine operations structural operational structures and load terms which includes wave, wind, seismic, and business loads.
- Understanding with classification societies and compliance-related body qualifications (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).
- Expertise operating with engineering advisors, EPC service providers, or operators in the petroleum sector sector.
- Expertise in fabrication methods, remote marine operations installation standardized processes, and framework stability management.

Preferred (Optional):
- Skilled in French (English is used within our organisation, but we possess French speaking customers as well)
- Specialist Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer status
- Expertise with sustainable remote marine operations systems (e.g., wind turbine foundations)
- Exposure to digital twin models, structural supervising operational structures, or AI-based evaluation resources.
