Fibre Planner at WIOCC Nigeria Limited in Lagos

Position Goal

Strategy entry and core fibre routes to make use of current ducts and where necessary new routes. To be confirmed as 3rd-level technical skilled concerning network fibre organizing.

Qualifications Education:

Bsc (or equivalent work expertise) in a Technical site

Expertise & Competencies: 

• Demands at least 3 years’ technical expertise in the telecom industry with a minimum of 2 years in network engineering, network fibre design or equivalent position.
• Expertise in channels which includes Ducts, Fibre, DWDM (10/40/100G), OTN.
• Expertise in assisting TX tools, i.e. Alcatel, Adva, Ciena, Infinera, Tejas Networks, etc.
• QA auditing & running test, oversee and minimize the network risk register.
• Optical relationship building expertise which includes OTDR, optical link financial plan calculations, fibre types and running test.
• Expertise in Google Earth, QGIS and OSS operational structures.
• Efficient documented and spoken communication competencies evidenced by work record and accomplishments.
• Outstanding communications and interpersonal abilities, which includes the capability to listen to and summarise and succinctly distribute key information with Customers.
• Must use B/OSS resources productively to document information precisely and succinctly without delay.
• Show capability to oversee various key focuses and solve challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Robust critical thinking and capable to collate and analyze data from various suppliers.
• Outstanding English language speaker with a natural talent for trading with people.
• Outstanding network diagnostic and analytical abilities.
