Subsea surveyor at Onstream Group in Lagos (Onshore / Offshore)

Position Overview

We are at present looking for an skilled and initiative-driven Subsea surveyor for our customer to take on a permanent supervisory role within their Survey & Geospatial Processes Team. The position requires adaptive schedule to operate both onshore and remote marine operations and comprises project coordination duties, monitoring a project sample of geophysical and hydrographic survey projects from organizing through implementation.

Accountabilities

• Oversee and organize onshore and remote marine operations survey processes, making sure premium quality data purchase and status updates.
• Head teams in application of tools which includes GNSS, USBL, multibeam echosounders, side-scan sonar, and sub-bottom profilers.
• Supervise the organizing, implementation, and closeout of various survey projects, making sure dispatch on time, within financial plan, and to customer requirements.
• Interface with internal departments, customers, and subcontractors to align understanding, assets, and logistics.
• Ensure full compliance to health, safety, ecological, and quality benchmarks across all projects.
• Train entry-level survey employees and guarantee adherence with organisation standardized processes and standardized best practices

Qualifications

• Bsc in Geomatics, Hydrography, Geophysics, Surveying, or a relevant field.
• At least 7 years of expertise in remote marine operations/onshore survey processes, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or project coordination position.
• Skilled in survey software (e.g., QINSy, EIVA, Hypack, Caris) and information handling methods.
• Valid remote marine operations medical (OGUK), BOSIET/FOET, and other necessary remote marine operations qualifications.
• Effective guidance, organizing, and verbal abilities with a initiative-driven approach to issue resolution.Understanding with asset honesty and reliability, pipeline assessment, or subsea building assist surveys.
