Advisor - Medical support at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Abuja

Duties and Accountabilities

The Medical support delivers information applicable to Health Evaluation Programs, Candidate processing and other IOM solutions to the migrants. The candidate may be allocated to one of two possibility subunits inside the Migration Health Evaluation Centre (MHAC): the reception and information handling unit or the call centre. The incumbent will need to be competent of adaptive schedule when allocated different duty. Expertise:

• Accreditation/Expertise in IT/computer, data entry, elaboration and evaluation or in a call centre in a occupied institution, ideally a medical one is an advantage;
• Previous operating expertise with Nonprofit organizations or international entities is an added advantage
• High computer literacy in Windows and MS Workspace is compulsory, expertise of web page design or data evaluation would be an asset;
• Expertise in medical terminology, in addition to previous secretarial and archival expertise, a desirable asset

• Outstanding information exchange (drafting, verbal and listening) and visual communication competencies

• Works productively with local governing bodies, participants, recipients, and the broader group to improve the country workspace or regional goal.
• Typing speed of a minimum of 60 words per minute.
• Supplies on set targets in rigid due dates.
• Exhibited competence with Microsoft Workspace applications especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Sharepoint
• Ready to accept a adaptable work timetable.
• Alert to description and precision in managing and status updates data

Languages:

Fluent in English (spoken communication and documented) 

Preferred:

• Fluency in various native language
• IOM’s formal languages are English, French and Spanish.
