Objective of Position

  • Africa CDC plays a pivotal position in strengthening the continent’s health guard, especially through efficient preparedness and response to community health crises.

  • The Top level Organizing and Predicting Officer will offer strategic and business executive guidance to Africa CDC’s Organizing and Predicting processes, making sure that health products are stored, handled, and fulfilled to Member States and associates with speed, precision, and adherence.
  • This position is instrumental in optimizing Africa CDC’s stock chain capabilities, especially in the circumstance of crisis-management, pandemic preparedness, and cross-border synchronization

Main Processes

The Top level Organizing and Predicting Officer is in charge of top the organizing and predicting methods to guarantee the productive and efficient dispatch of inventory and solutions to assist Africa CDC’s process which includes the African Pooled Procurement Mechanism. This position includes evaluating stock chain data, conceptualizing predicting models, and partnering with various participants to enhance stock chain processes.

Specific Duties

  • Formulate and execute stock chain organizing and predicting plans.
  • Utilize improved predicting models and resources to forecast requirement for inventory and solutions.
  • Evaluate archival data and practices to enhance precision of projections
  • Collect and evaluate stock chain data to recognize patterns and practices.
  • Organize thorough documentation and dashboards to track stock chain effectiveness.
  • Use analytics-based findings to guide strategic judgment and enhance stock chain processes.
  • Collaborate with programme and processes teams to comprehend stock needs and key focuses
  • Organize with suppliers, logistics associates, and other participants to guarantee on-time completion of inventory.
  • Coordinate cross-operational partnership to improve stock chain effectiveness.
  • Recognize avenues for process enhancements inside the stock chain.
  • Formulate and execute programs to improve organizing and predicting methods.
  • Stay informed on industry’s industry standards and integrate them into Africa CDC’s stock chain processes.
  • Offer learning and help desk members on predicting resources and structured approaches.
  • Train and mentor support personnel in organizing and predicting initiatives.
  • Advance an environment that fosters uninterrupted learning and advancement inside the team.
  • Organize consistent documentation on stock chain effectiveness and predicting precision.
  • Record organizing and predicting methods and structured approaches.
  • Guarantee adherence with AU’s rules and guidelines in all organizing and predicting initiatives.

Or

  • Bsc in stock chain management, Logistics, Business Management, or a relevant field requiring at least 10 years of expertise in stock chain organizing and predicting.
  • Established history of coordinating sophisticated stock chain processes in an international circumstance
  • Expertise operating with humanitarian entities or in the public sector is an asset

Necessary Competencies:

  • Outstanding verbal and professional writing competencies in any of the AU operating languages (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese, Kiswahili and Spanish) and practical understanding in other AU Languages is a plus.

Tenure of Assignment:

The Assignment will be made on a temporary agreement for a period of one (1) year, of which the first three (3) months will be assessed as a probationary period. Thereafter, the agreement may be renewed for a similar period subject to financing accessibility, acceptable effectiveness and accepted outputs.
