Role summary

The potential will strategize acquire, bargain and buy unedited materials at the optimal timing, transaction terms and best price for the company needs whilst being conforming to company’s leading principles and government rules.

Duties

• Track business requirement to produce a strategy for replenishing stock, procurement the best suppliers, and making favorable buys.
• Routinely assess and bargain prices, requirements, and terms with suppliers to guarantee the best options are accessible when needed.
• Track industry trends and factors (like weather) affecting product prices, especially for strategic unedited material buys.
• Modify product cost parts routinely to recognize cost-saving avenues.
• Follow SOPs when issuing buy orders to guarantee on-time completion and avoid disruptions.
• Organize with suppliers, transporters, and other parties to guarantee smooth processes, which includes dispatch and customs methods.
• Process necessary shipping documents and guarantee promptness arrival of goods for plant use.
• Execute other duty as allocated under leadership.

Credentials

• Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Stock Chain Management, or a relevant field. Second-class (upper division) or Upper credit is essential.
• 1-2 years of expertise in procurement or stock chain management
• Fluency in English and Hausa.
• Competence in procurement methods, bargain methods, and vendor management
• Robust critical thinking with the capability to analyze data and make analytics-based decisions
• Competence in Ms office tools, especially Excel
• Clear articulation and people skills, with the capability to operate productively within a collaborative environment
• Robust meticulousness and dedication to precision in every facet of work.
