Role Overview

Status updates to the Programme Director, the Top level Country Project officer will play a vital function during planning phase, co-formation, management, and assessment of a project sample of Beginnings Financial support investments. This will comprise of assisting the development of country financial funding strategies and underlying financial funding strategic guidance for entities receiving capital, operating closely with the MOH and other members of the financial funding team to co-design the strategy and taking head duty for Beginnings Financial support to oversee strategy execution. The Top level Country Project officer will possess in-depth understanding in a minimum of one of the concentration countries, and a robust health operational structures profile with a thorough comprehension of efficient interventions to improve maternal and newborn health. The Top level Country Project officer will work alongside the Measurement and Assessment Team to execute programme measurement and assessment strategic guidance. The Top level Country Project officer will work as part of the financial funding team and engage in long-term alliances with regional and national participants

Role summary What You’ll Do:

  • Assist development and implementation of country specific strategies with clear targets, initiatives and financial plans, which includes conceptualizing, endorsing and coordinating investments as allocated in key associates in line with the entire plan guided by the Programme Director.
  • Be the head delegate for Beginnings Financial support in one to two countries, top the consortium of associates alongside the MOH and managing work collaboratively, assisting compliance systems for Beginnings Financial support financial funding strategize and assisting ongoing adjustment to country circumstance and key focuses over the four-five-year grant period. 
  • Oversee and preserve solid connections with government and offer IT assistance as needed to improve MOH maternal and newborn health key focuses, operating with key technical directs and grantee associates.  Assist country relation with EWENE and status reports to acceleration strategies.
  • Assist the MOH to pursue complementary investments, improve donor synchronization and alignment on maternal and newborn health engaging in TWGs, and coordinating with with UN agencies, two-party agencies and other financing and executing associates to grow financing and scale-up of key interventions.
  • Oversee all grant investments in the country financial funding strategize which includes recognizing concerns for the other financial funding team members top plan, finance, and Monitoring and evaluation. In collaboration with the MOH, programme contingency capital to handle key hurdles which arise during the grant period.
  • Oversee methods for grantee status updates and carry out internal status updates assessments which includes spending evaluation and financial plan authorization, evaluation of interim outcomes, and lead the necessary design adjustment and/or adjustment to quickly course accurate and enhance programmatic performance and long-term viability.
  • Enhance and ensure premium quality grant-making methods that strengthen the work and learnings from national, and sub-national executing associates. Embrace trust-based modes of grant-making alongside a dedication to building up work collaboratively and grantee capacity while creating thorough data and instantaneous learning. 
  • Serve as a thought work collaboratively to the Programme Director and Measurement and Assessment team in pushing the effect of the Beginnings Financial support, and execute programme measurement and assessment.
  • Evaluate options for partnership and collaboration to improve programme reach and long-term viability.
  • Offer frequent updates to the Technical Consultative Group and documentation to the Financial funding Board on country strategy advancement.
  • In partnership with the Programme Director, stand for the Beginnings Financial support with government, donors and grantees, which includes updating compliance systems with key outcomes and arranging on-site visits for Beginnings Financial support donors and employees as needed.

Our offerings

Remuneration: USD 1150,00 - USD 120,000 yearly (commensurate with expertise) and employee perks, along with avenues for specialist progression within a small, cooperative, and devoted team.
