Position Overview

The Milk Collection Center Quality Organizer will supervise the collection of premium quality milk from milk suppliers S/he will be in charge of the quality targets for the center and make sure that the methods are conforming with the donor’s workplace safety and wellness principles and rules.

Primary Processes & Duties

  • Make sure that the milk received from the Mini-farms and smallholder dairy farmers meets specified milk quality benchmarks by the processor.
  • Record routine collection data i.e., the volume of milk supplied by herder/entrepreneur, test outcomes, etc., in the digital app offered.
  • Track, record, and documentation adherence with good lab procedures on the milk reception floor.
  • In charge of making sure that all quality assurance methods and standardized processes are followed at all times in receiving milk into the milk bulk tanks and releasing same for the generation of good quality goods.
  • Carry out standard procedure quality assurance checks and evaluation on all milk supplied to verify conformity with set guidelines.
  • Preserve all work surfaces, tools, trolleys, trays, test tubes, pipettes, etc. are clean before and after receiving or releasing fresh milk.
  • Track the effectiveness of fridges chillers, bulk milk tanks, etc. making sure that they’re kept clean at all times and operating optimally.
  • Track the loading of good quality fresh milk into dispatch vehicles.
  • Make sure that all employees inside the milk collection center follow all codes of Personal hygiene.
  • Carry out any other responsibility that might be allocated by the MCC manager.

Basic Credentials

A Bsc in a applicable field, which includes food science and tech, biotechnology, or biochemistry. At least 1 year expertise post service operating in a food processing environment.

Preferred Credentials:

  • Expertise in preserving food safety and operating quality documented guides, and applicable standardized processes
  • Capability to execute and track all quality and food safety programs which includes HACCP, Good Laboratory Procedures, Cleaning and Sanitation, Ecological Sampling, and Pest Regulate
  • Exhibited expertise in QA programs to guarantee that all suppliers of fresh milk meet the company’s requirements in a regular manner
  • Capability to educate dairy farmers, other milk vendors, handlers, and applicable team members on milk quality benchmarks.
  • Necessary Languages: Skilled in English and Yoruba
  • Commute: 5%
