Role summary

A store officer's main responsibility ismanaging stock and making sure the smooth process of a store or warehouse. This comprises receiving, storing, and circulating goods, preserving precise records, and monitoring inventory levels to guarantee items are promptly accessible. They also play a key role in preserving a clean and structured workspace, and often help with duty like receiving supplies, evaluating items for loss, and even coordinating some components of sales and client support.

Duties Stock Management:

• Receiving and storing goods: Accepting supplies, evaluating items for loss or discrepancies, and properly storing them according to established standardized processes.
• Preserving precise records: Tracking inventory levels, recording receipts and withdrawals, and updating stock data.
• Supervising inventory levels: Making sure adequate inventory are accessible and commencing buy requisitions when inventory is low.
• Stock regulate: Executing consistent inventory counts and adjusting discrepancies.
• Storage and company: Keeping the store or warehouse tidy, structured, and safe, following FIFO (first in, first out) or other established methods.
• Coordinating returns and disposal: Managing returns from clients or other departments, and managing the disposal of expired or surplus items.
• Picking and packing orders: Getting ready items for dispatch or sale.

Other Duties:

• Preserving a safe and clean environment: Making sure the store or warehouse is well-preserved and aligns with safety rules.
• Helping with sales: Some storekeepers may assist with client support, pricing, and labeling.
• Managing with other departments: Sharing information with procurement and sales teams regarding inventory levels and needs.
• Creating documentation: Offering stock and other applicable information for executive review.
• Directing employees: In some cases, top level storekeepers may supervise other team members.

Credentials

Interested applicants should have an Higher national diploma / Bachelor`s Academic qualification with 3 - 4 years of expertise.
