Assistant Head Engineer - Mill, DSR Numan Process at Dangote Group in Apapa, Lagos

Position Overview

The Assistant Head Engineer, Mill will supervise the processes and servicing & maintenance of the milling facility, cane crushing and down time in Dangote Sugar Numan Process, making sure most effective effectiveness, effectiveness, and safety guidelines. Offer direction to the engineering team and work alongside various departments to attain business targets.

Primary duties

• Responsible for the trouble free process of all Mills and Cane managing System by embracing the Preventive /predictive servicing & maintenance of the tools from cane managing to final mill.
• Preserving & trouble shooting of all types of tools of the plant under his section and delivering the cane crushing as per the target by embracing and commencing necessary action and corrective measures.
• Strategies & performs the roles informed by the process team in the sections entrusted for smooth process of the plant.
• Responsible for the preserving and supervising the document of change miscarriages and taking corrective actions. Sustains the  record cards of the tools in the sections entrusted and keeps the track of servicing & maintenance initiatives participated
• Responsible for the effectiveness of milling parameter like Bagasse pol, Bagasse Moisture and Imbibition.
• Shall answer to the Head Engineer servicing & maintenance, any events of mechanical complications.
• Making sure the standby tools accessibility all time and preserving the critical spares for the tools in respective zone.
• Responsible for the adoption of SOP during process & servicing & maintenance.
• Implement Maintenance and servicing of the mill tools during off cop period.
• Lifting Public relations’s & accreditation spares necessary for servicing & maintenance / processes of the sections allocated to him
• Arranges the yearly spending financial plan for his/her sections and evaluate the variance (Financial plan Vs Actual) & imitate necessary efficient management system.
• Responsible for preserving and ensure the safety in all initiatives of process and Servicing & maintenance.
