Position Overview
The Generation Manager will be in charge of organizing, managing, and directing production operations methods to guarantee goods are manufactured productively, on time, within financial plan, and to the necessary quality and compliance guidelines. The position includes oversight of production worker, compliance to cGMP, and ongoing development of generation operational structures.
Primary duties
- Strategy and arrange generation plans in alignment with requirement projections and stock levels.
- Ensure most effective utilization of assets – labor, machines, and materials.
- Oversee and organize all production operations initiatives and employees in the department.
- Preserve full compliance to ongoing Good Production operations Procedures (cGMP), Standard Operating Standardized processes (SOPs), and safety procedures.
- Work alongside Quality assurance, Quality control, Engineering, and Stock Chain departments to guarantee smooth processes.
- Track generation indicators and organize routine, on a weekly basis, and every month effectiveness documentation.
- Explore and settle generation-associated deviations, incidents, and service issues.
- Guarantee promptness servicing & maintenance and calibration of production operations tools.
- Lead ongoing development programs to maximize output, reduce non-operational time, and reduce waste.
- Educate and train production worker to enhance competencies, adherence, and effectiveness.
- Engage in audits (compliance-related, internal, and client) and ensure prompt closure of observations.
- Adhere with all local, national, and international compliance-related and quality qualifications.
Credentials and Expertise
- Bsc in pharmacy (B. Pharm)
- At least 5–10 years of progressive expertise in pharmaceutical production operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or executive position.
- Deep knowledge of GMP, GDP, and other legal adherence (e.g., NAFDAC, WHO, FDA).
- Demonstrated expertise in tablet, capsule, liquid, or sterile dosage forms is a plus.
- Competence in generation organizing software and Enterprise platform planning operational structures (e.g., SAP,).
- Effective guidance, information exchange, and analytical abilities.
- Capability to operate under pressure and supply outcomes in a dynamic environment.
