Support Engineering project coordinator at Derive Communications Systems & Engineering Limited in Lugbe, Abuja FCT

IT assistance & Execution:

• Analyze solar PV, ELV, building automatic control, network design and other drawings; offer explanation to on-site teams.
• Oversee and Execute installation and running test of:
• Solar PV operational structures (modules, inverters, batteries, BOS wiring).
• Closed-circuit television & Authorization (camera alignment, entry readers, regulate panels).
• Fire Alarm Operational structures (detectors, call points, panels, loop running test).
• Digital Signage (display mounting, content consolidation, calibration).
• PA/BGM Operational structures (speakers, amplifiers, sound balancing).
• Building Automatic control Operational structures
• Organized Cabling & Relationship building (fiber and copper terminations, rack system setups, patching, switch/router settings).
• Any other allocated duty implementable within Organisation’s Engineering/Technical Department
• Assistance network consolidation running test and initiating for automatic control, relationship building, and multi-system interoperability.

QA & Safety:

• Carry out standard procedure inspection procedures on system setups (wiring, labeling, terminations, system effectiveness).
• Ensure system setups meet international guidelines (IEC, NFPA, TIA/EIA, etc.) and customer requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Health, safety, and environment rules, making sure safe operating procedures for electrical and network system setups.

Credentials & Competencies

Education: Bachelor's degree/Higher national diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Sustainable Energy, Computer Engineering, or relevant field. Expertise: 3–4 years in Sustainable Energy (Solar), ELV, building automatic control, and relationship building projects.

Engineering resources:

• AutoCAD for drawing analysis (Usage is a plus)
• MS Project/Excel for planning
• Basic relationship building resources (Fluke tester, Wireshark expertise is a plus)
• Solar creative applications (e.g., PVsyst) an added plus
• Core Skills:
• Deep knowledge of solar PV, ELV, BAS, and relationship building operational structures
• Robust diagnosing issues and consolidation competencies
• Clear communication and recordkeeping capability
• • Capability to operate across multi-disciplinary teams under pressure.
