In-House Technology Engineer at Coinbox Limited in Gbagada, Lagos

Position Overview

The Technology Engineer will preserve and improve our app and backend operational structures, ensure dependable API integrations, and assist product development with on-time completion of capabilities and bug fixes.

Primary duties

• Preserve and improve the operational base (APIs, backend operational structures).
• Supervise consolidation of airline/bus APIs into central system.
• Track uptime, latency, and app effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team on function rollouts.
• Offer technology assist for critical bugs/concerns.
• Ensure data guard and adherence with industry guidelines.
• Assist mobile application development teams with backend/API consolidation.
• Automate supervising and status updates of system health indicators.
• Enhance DB queries and structure for scalability.
• Engage in sprint organizing and support to product task refinement sessions.
• Assess and combine third-party resources that improve app effectiveness.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Higher national diploma/Bachelor's degree academic qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Tech, or associated discipline.
• Qualifications in software development, APIs, cloud channels (AWS, Azure, GCP) are preferred.
• 4–7+ years in software engineering (Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP).
• Understanding with APIs, financial technology/payments, transport operational structures.
• Expertise in new venture or nimble technology team.
• Expertise in cloud structure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Understanding with nimble structured approaches and Development-operations procedures.
• Robust diagnosing issues and analytical abilities.
