Job Description

We're looking for a Top level L2 Application Assist Head Engineer to supervise our Level 2 application assist functions.
This position ensures on-time settlement of sophisticated system problems, sustains application stability, and leads process enhancements.
Serving as a key bridge between frontline assist, engineering, and business participants, you’ll concentration on supplying high accessibility, adherence, and exceptional client fulfillment.

Train and mentor L2 assist engineers, making sure compliance to SLAs and business industry standards.
Oversee ticket queues, prioritize incidents, and preserve clear participant information exchange.
Work alongside Development-operations, Quality assurance, and structure teams to assist deployments and environment stability.

Preserve thorough runbooks, SOPs, and information repository articles.
Guarantee adherence with ITIL methods and internal guard rules.
Generate every month documentation on application effectiveness, system issue practices, and solution indicators.

4+ years of application assist expertise, which includes 2+ years in a head/high-level position.
Deep knowledge of application architecture, APIs, and consolidation points.
Practical experience with Java runtime, APIs, and frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot).
Competence in application steward supervising, API management, observability, and data recording.
Proficient in log evaluation (Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic).
Expertise with cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines will be an added advantage.
Robust issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and verbal abilities.
Understanding with Financial technology or banking adherence guidelines is desirable.
Verified ability to head in a dynamic, high-adherence environment.
Multi-country or Pan-African expertise is advantageous.
