Project Explanation

• Northeast Nigeria is at present facing an expanding humanitarian crisis with a vast number of Internally Displaced Persons in need of crisis support.
• These IDPs are living among organizer networks, lacking entry to livelihoods and assets, ultimately top to unprecedented levels of malnutrition and food insecurity.
• FHI 360 possesses been operating in Nigeria for over 30 years and responded to the humanitarian crisis in the NE for five years.
• In expectation of a new project, and in assist of ongoing ones, FHI360 looks for an skilled Support Technical specialist, Primary Health Care to assist our response to the humanitarian crisis in NE Nigeria.

Basic Operation

The Support Technical specialist (ATO), Primary Health Care (PHC) will triage, examine, diagnose and treat patients in need of primary health care at the facility. Based on the diagnosis, the ATO-PHC will prescribe suitable treatment to patients and suggest check in as necessary.

Obligations and Duties

• Work as part of a cross-functional team of international and national employees to offer premium quality patient care to an extremely at risk population.
• Delivers precise diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in a primary health care setting
• Evaluate patients and refers them for expert health care (as necessary)
• Engage in the dispatch excellent quality health care to patients in a primary health care setting
• Aligns with applicable Code of carry out and ethics
• Engage in outreach and public health programs (as necessary)
• Offer health education to patients
• Preserve adequate and accurate records of patient care which includes consumables & instruments utilized (if any)
• Collaborate with technical and Monitoring and evaluation teams to collect suitable baseline data on the life of the project
• Remain informed on ongoing programs in the site of Clinical Management of combined medical solutions and associated progress updates by analyzing ongoing literature and staying warn to any implication of such expertise and analysis to the project execution especially the Clinical Management of combined medical solutions at the facility level
• Gathers and sends periodic documentation
• Ensure adequate infection prevention and regulate guidelines are preserved at all times.
• Engages in Ongoing Career advancement (i.e. development, training)
• Executes any other obligations as may be allocated.
