Cybersecurity engineer at Kredete Limited in Lagos

About the Position

We are looking for an achieved Cybersecurity engineer to head our guard architecture and protect the honesty and reliability of our payment, remittance, and financial operational structures. In this position, you will establish the organization’s guard plan, guarantee adherence with industry guidelines (PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001), and ensure protection of sensitive financial and client data. You will team up with product, engineering, Development-operations, and adherence teams to embed guard-by-design across channels, applications, and payment structure.

Primary duties

• Establish and own the guard engineering roadmap in sync with compliance-related and payment industry qualifications.
• Serve as the guard authority for financial technology goods, APIs, and payment integrations.
• Train and mentor technical groups on secure coding procedures, fraud prevention, and adherence-driven development.
• Design secure, ability to scale, and resilient architectures for remittance and payment processing operational structures.
• Head threat modeling, guard design assessments, and risk evaluations for new capabilities which includes wallets, KYC/AML modules, and cross-border payments.
• Combine instantaneous fraud discovery and transaction supervising operational structures.
• Execute and oversee encryption, tokenization, and secure key management for sensitive financial data.
• Supervise the payment guard supervising programme, which includes fraud warnings and suspicious transaction responses.
• Head issue resolution process for guard breaches, making sure minimal effect to financial processes.
• Collaborate with SOC, Development-operations, and IT to execute SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and fraud supervising channels.
• Ensure uninterrupted adherence with PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and local financial rules.
• Assist within and outside the organization audits, operating directly with adherence and authorities.
• Formulate and ensure adherence to rules, guidelines, and guard playbooks specific to financial technology processes.
• Stay forward of emerging financial technology guard threats which includes API abuse, account takeover, and payment fraud.
• Advocate adoption of Secure devops procedures, embedding automated adherence and guard checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Assess and execute guard technical solutions for transaction guard, credential check, and fraud prevention.

Necessary Credentials

• 10+ years of expertise in guard engineering, with a minimum of 3+ years in a chief or leadership position within financial technology, banking, or payments.
• Established history designing and securing payment operational structures, remittance channels, or digital wallets.
• Strong insight of PCI DSS regulates, encryption, tokenization, and HSMs.
• Competence in cloud guard (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Competence in API guard, identity & entry management, fraud prevention operational structures, and instantaneous supervising.
• Practical experience with structure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and guard automatic control in CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Credentials:

CISSP, CISM, CISA, OSCP, or PCI Specialist (PCIP). Cloud guard qualifications which includes AWS Guard Expertise or GCP Specialist Cloud Cybersecurity engineer.
