The Position

Status updates to the Head Medical Director, the medical practitioner help advisors in the daily management of patients under the oversight of Advisor Family Medical doctor. The Medical practitioner will also take an active position in monitoring the medical care of patients and the processes carried out by medical employees. They may engage directly in care when solutions are being initially executed. They may also assist evaluate and diagnose needs and strategies of action for individual and families.

Duties

• Making sure that patient care is most effective in compliance to the clinical standard procedures and St Luke’s Hospital quality benchmarks.
• Executing inpatient and outpatient evaluate with starting evaluation and management.
• Offering necessary recordkeeping on health documentation and discharge overviews of patients.
• Coordinating with with advisors regarding the offering of Inpatient and Outpatient evaluation and care, which includes diagnoses and medication strategies.
• Offering medical cover (standard procedure and crisis), during hours of responsibility and work in conjunction with the other Medical Officers to guarantee the offering of a 24-hour service to the hospital.
• Associating with patients’ relatives / caregivers on show state of health and further management.
• Making entries into the patients’ notes as suitable, following ward rounds or any other patient examinations, information exchange or standardized processes.
• Undertaking within your level of expertise and skilled, certain medical standardized processes necessary by your top level teammates.

Credentials & Qualifications

• M.B.B.S or equivalent requiring at least 5 years’ expertise in general medicine.
• Primaries in Family Medicine is a plus.
• Accreditation - Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria; Certification of Practicing Permit.
• Competence with the use of the computer.
• Applicants must have Nysc completion document or Exemption letter.
• Outstanding issue resolution and clinical strategic judgment competencies
• Good schedule control and planning abilities
• Applicant required location Asaba or open to relocation
