Overview
The U.S. Embassy Abuja, Nigeria is looking for qualified and certified candidates for the role of GSO Support in the General Solutions Workspace.
Obligations
- This role manages the diverse GSO portfolios of Client support and Commute.
- The role occupant will help two junior Support General Solutions Officers at post to offer solution assist to GSO clients.
- The role aids LE Employees employees and American direct-recruits and their families allocated to Abuja and documentation to the Supervisory General Solutions Officer (SGSO). This role requires a secret clearance.
Education Qualifications
Academic qualification in Mathematics, Psychology, Law, Business Management, Communications or associated majors is essential.
Expertise:
Two years of expertise in logistics, procurement, project coordination, managerial/business management, or standards oversight and six months of supervisory expertise is essential.
Role understanding:
- Expertise in rules pertaining to GSO initiatives, which includes Federal Purchase Rules, Purchase Rules, Federal Commute Rules is essential.
- Thorough expertise in managerial and workspace standardized processes is essential.
- A general comprehension of business hierarchy in an Embassy is essential.
- General expertise in organizer country business procedures (e.g., negotiating procedures, fostering connections with government and private sector connections) in addition to the general framework of local managerial workspaces which includes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Diplomatic Solutions Bureau, Customs, Tax Authority and Motor Vehicle Authority is essential.
Competencies And Abilities:
- Good spoken communication and professional writing competencies, to comprise of capability to compose clear and brief documents, documentation, programme and regulatory framework standard procedures and capability to supply spoken communication demonstrations is essential.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal, visual communication and planning abilities. Must show the capability to operate with clients in offering clear, brief direction and development.
- Must be cozy operating with Embassy staff and be capable to take action with courtesy in managing stressful conditions.
- Must be an reasoned thinker, and a troubleshooter. Must be capable to type with emphasis on precision.
