Construction engineer at Casalavoro Limited in 11 Yalinga Street, Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)

Role summary

We are looking for a proficient and meticulous Construction engineer to oversee and supervise in-field building initiatives. The preferred candidate will be in charge of making sure that all engineering and technical components of building projects are carried out precisely, productively, and according to requirements and safety guidelines.

Duties

• Oversee and track daily on-site processes.
• Ensure assignment is carried out according to authorized drawings, requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Organize with architects, service providers, subcontractors, and other experts in-field.
• Oversee on-site recordkeeping which includes documentation, materials usage, work records, and advancement status reports.
• Analyze and clarify strategies and agreement conditions to technical workers and customers.
• Verify that every materials used and work carried out adhere with quality benchmarks and project requirements.
• Settle unexpected technical difficulties and organize issue resolution endeavors in-field.
• Carry out on-site inspections and safety audits to ensure adherence to adherence.
• Oversee delivery schedules, financial planning, and status updates.
• Coordinate with local governing bodies for licenses, inspections, and authorizations as required.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, or any relevant field.
• Demonstrated expertise of 4-7years as a construction engineer or similar position in building projects.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, building methods, and safety rules.
• Competence in engineering software which includes AutoCAD, MS Project, or Revit.
• Outstanding project coordination, information exchange, and management abilities.
• Capability to operate in dynamic environments and make decisions under pressure.
• Deep knowledge of financial planning, asset distribution, and quality assurance.
• Valid a member of a professional body or permit will be an added advantage.

Preferred Competencies:

• Expertise in green building guidelines or long-term viability procedures.
• Understanding with modern building technical solutions and tools.
• Practical experience with surveying and measurement resources.
