Position Overview

A Kitchen Support plays a key role in the smooth process of a hotel's kitchen. Operating under the direction of chefs and kitchen supervisors, they are in charge of preserving cleanliness, assisting food project setup, and making sure the entire effectiveness of the kitchen environment. This position is an outstanding entry point into the culinary world, presenting avenues to learn and formulate precious competencies.

Food Project setup Support:

• Help chefs and cooks with basic food project setup duty, which includes washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients (vegetables, fruits, meats).
• Assist in assembling dishes according to recipes and directions.
• Organize simple food items like salads, sandwiches, or garnishes as directed.

Business Assist:

• Assist kitchen employees during occupied service periods by fetching ingredients, resources, and tools.
• Operate kitchen tools (e.g., dishwashers, professional mixers) safely and productively as ordered.
• Help with unloading food inventory and transferring items from storage to the kitchen.
• Preserve adequate inventory of cleaning inventory and kitchen necessities.

Competencies and Credentials

Interested applicants should have an OND certification with 1 - 3 years of expertise.
