Transmission Execution Engineer at Equinix Nigeria in Lekki, Lagos

Position Overview

Proactively Executes Network Fulfilment initiatives. Highlights problem and leads solution when necessary.

Duties

• Diagnosing issues and solution of 1st and 2nd level network associated challenges
• Address and settle DWDM & Metro networks concerns inside the timeframe of severity level agreements
• Evaluate and implement RPRs (re-offering requests) on Ciena DWDM Submarine and Ciena Metro Network with minimal oversight
• Assist every facet of the network management process assuring requests, execution, and challenges are fulfilled as necessary with no effect to the worldwide communications
• Deploy and record modifications in accordance with issue and adjustment management process
• Engage in coordinating projects introduced by engineering team assuring full execution and recordkeeping guidelines are was aligned with
• Finalize the projects targets within timelines
• Analyze, evaluate and execute Metro Ethernet, Microwave and GPON networks designs from the network backbone organizing team
• Execute most efficient approach to restore, recover, or alter settings, logical or physical, to preserve service honesty and reliability
• Make sure that Equinix worldwide and metro fiber network recordkeeping is always precise and current.

Credentials Necessary:

• Capability to evaluate and implement provisioning requests from Transmission Organizing documents
• Capability to diagnose issues, recognize root causes and endorse initiatives
• Capability to install, fee, execute and set up according to design and specification
• Capability to use basic operating resources like ethernet Analyzer and optical testers
• Capability to track and oversee the dispatch of service especially by 3rd party vendors rendered to clients
• Capability to identify and interpret data, basic causes of challenges, and endorse initiatives that meet the practical needs of the business
• Good spoken communication and professional writing competencies
• Collaboration abilities
• Capability to operate well under pressure
• Good expertise in IP MPLS
• Bachelors Academic qualification in Engineering Or Equivalent Expertise
• Cisco certified network associate and Project coordination.
