Job Description

Position Objective

To assist execution of WASH part of a project, which includes hygiene awareness, allocation of WASH items, client engagement of group hygiene groups, and partnership with WASH participants at state/LGA levels.

Scope of Position

This position will assist, organize and mobilize public health voluntary assistants and group collaborations for P & G project, through partnering and closely operating with the WASH Organizer, Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning Organizer, Program Manager, Site Manager on the project.   S/he will make sure that there is an efficient and aligned execution of the project in Lagos in addition to generate consistent documentation for the project. S/he will collaborate with the Group Hygiene Voluntary assistants to carry out consistent hygiene awareness at the execution sites. She will ensure the collation of every month, every quarter documentation that feeds into CO and donors documentation. S/he will collaborate with CO ACCM Unit to formulate applicable materials, which includes but not limited to regulatory framework summaries/update messages, idea notes, standard procedures and perform actions to produce empowering environment and advance rising government and group dedication and action on children’s rights to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Credentials 

Academic qualification/ Postgraduate certification in Community health, Development Economics, Education, Public Regulatory framework, Human Rights Law, Development Studies or any relevant field. Wanted Number of Years’ expertise – 1 (A minimum of one year in a WASH intervention)

Expertise and Competencies:

  • Level of IT Needed qualifications – Outstanding
  • Profound expertise in Nigeria compliance and education operational structures and WASH space
  • Expertise in designing and executing Community-related and Conduct Adjustment plans, ideally in WASH, Education or child rights programming.
  • Deep knowledge of group dynamics, cultural norms, and the position of conduct adjustment in optimizing teaching results.
  • Robust logical structure to transparently communicate effectively and convey our regulatory framework roles.
  • Capability to be strategic and initiative-driven when necessary to be capable to keep support strategies agile and in sync to new regulatory framework and political progress updates.
  • Capability to transparently convey and easily refer to state and local government governing bodies.
  • Capable to show positive mindset, diplomatic, negotiator, and team player.
  • Expertise of operating in a diverse workplace and respect for diversity
