Vice President, Freight Transmitting - West Africa Region at DP World in Lagos

Responsibility

Oversee and lead the C&F officer businesses in the West Africa region, to guarantee maintainable business expansion and effectiveness. The candidate will need to start the DP World Freight Transmitting network and footprint growth plan across the West Africa Region, to execute Ocean & Air product procurement plans in key West Africa Region Countries, to execute key Trade Lane plans, making sure strategic adherence across the Western African network, and mitigating risk connected to agreement liability with network workspaces/associates.

Processes:

• Make sure that each Business unit sets and meets its budgetary qualifications, as set out by the EVP FFSSA.
• Make sure that the Worldwide Enterprise platform planning system and financial operational structures are executed and operational in all Business units.
• The People and Culture targets are set out and accomplished.
• Financial targets are fulfilled.
• To grow Freight Transmitting across the region through.
• Execution of customs solutions and adherence thereof.
• Execution of Air and Ocean business teams to coordinate the throughput of shipments.
• Partnering and optimizing business between the DP World business units.

Business Development:

• To formulate business inside the West Africa Region and other trades.
• Conceptualizing promotion plans internally and externally for alignment and maximum exposure and growth (new & current) business.
• Partnering with Regional Business-related, Sales, Product, Processes and Trade Lane teams to implement plans for maximum market expansion and advantage across the various pillars.
• Analysing market data and KPI’s to adapt to market needs.

Plan:

Staying abreast of industry and market progress updates, proactively responding where necessary to preserve advancement and assist. Stock direction on theoretical designs, progress updates and execution plans across the West Africa region.
