Job Description

Finance Duties:

  • Organize and oversee financial plans – Formulate yearly financial plans, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Preserve precise finance records – Document financial record, oversee ledgers, and supervise finance reporting.
  • Produce financial statements – Organize every month, every quarter, and yearly documentation for management, donors, and compliance-related bodies.
  • Ensure legal adherence – File tax returns, process wage processing, and guarantee adherence with statutory qualifications (e.g., SCUML, FIRS, LIRS, pension, etc.).
  • Oversee audits – Coordinate with external auditors, organize audit documents, and execute strategic guidance.
  • Supervise money movement and bank adjustments – Track bank accounts, oversee small expense fund, and ensure healthy liquidity.
  • Assist grant status updates – Track donor capital, organize financial statements for grants, and ensure proper budget distribution.

Qualifications

  • A Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field (at least 2:1).
  • Must possess finished NYSC.
  • 1–2 years of expertise operating in an Accounting or Audit firm.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting operational structures, financial planning, and adherence.
  • Robust people skills with the capability to productively engage a variety of participants, which includes associates, donors, employees, students, and voluntary assistants.
  • Patience and the capability to build positive and helpful connections with teenagers.
  • Outstanding corporate, handling multiple responsibilities, and issue resolution abilities.
  • Strong capability in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Lead) and other managerial software and resources.
  • Robust documented and spoken communication competencies.
  • Compulsory accessibility to operate every Saturday to assist programme initiatives.
  • A authentic interest for group effect and a robust dedication to empowering underserved children and youth through education.
