About the Position
- The procurement specialist assist the efficient and transparent management of procurement methods in line with donor and HARAF rules.
- The officer ensures the prompt and cost-efficient purchase of goods and solutions necessary for the company.
- The position includes procurement vendors, discussing terms agreements, and making sure adherence with procurement rules and rules.
Primary duties
- Acquire premium quality, cost-efficient goods and solutions, build supplier connections, and preserve an current supplier DB.
- Carry out market evaluation to guarantee HARAF engage with the right suppliers for the right product.
- Collaborate with programme team to oversee procurement strategies for their various projects while recognizing avenues for cost savings
- Design procurement effectiveness tracking software and dashboards.
- Track key procurement indicators to track effectiveness, adherence, and turnaround time.
- Ensure procurement methods are transparent, attractive, and conforming with corporate and donor qualifications.
- Preserve and modify vendor databases, making sure due diligence and value for money.
- Organize and oversee procurement recordkeeping, which includes RFQs, offers, buy orders, and agreements.
- Assess supplier offers based on cost, quality, and dispatch timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service vendors to bargain favorable terms
- Establish and preserve solid connections with vendors and suppliers.
