Engineer - Broadband System Organizing at MTN Nigeria in Ikoyi, Lagos

Purpose

To attain the outputs of the Broadband Operational structures Organizing unit.  To Strategize Design and Enhance the PS Network backbone & IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) channels, to attain a economical and most effective PS Core & IMS network design and effectiveness, and a prompt deploying excellent quality mobile data goods and IP Multimedia initiatives in line with the business strategic targets. Advocate PS Core & IMS network evolution plans as it concerns short to medium term tech decisions in line with the entire business strategic targets.

Duties

• Head the design and dimensioning of the PS Core and IMS network in addition to new Mobile data/multimedia initiatives to assist the promotion product.
• Oversee the organizing and design of the PS Core and IMS network architecture to optimally serve the network growth in terms of traffic, subscribers and capacity.
• Oversee the definition of an most effective network topology for the Mobile Data/Multimedia channels (e.g. SGSN-MME, SGW, GGSN/PGW, PCRF/SAPC, ADC, DNS, P-/I-/S-CSCF, MTAS, WAP Gateway, etc.) for deploying of Mobile Data/ Multimedia initiatives to offer MTNN a attractive advantage.
• Oversee the design and strategy the evolution of Data/Multimedia initiatives, which includes Broadband, Mobile Data, WAP, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, VoLTE, VoWi-FI, etc.
• Initiate in optimizing the effectiveness, effectiveness, and reliability of the PS Core/IP Multimedia Subsystems network by evaluating network data, diagnosing issues concerns (Root Cause Evaluation – RCA), and executing enhancements (Parameter Tuning) across the Packet-Switched (PS), and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) in addition to Circuit-Switched (CS) domains.
• Oversee and implement prompt provisioning of network capacity for all the Mobile Data/multimedia network elements, capabilities, procedures.
• Organize and perform evaluation of network model results and traffic patterns to assess models and offer recommendation if necessary, inside the Mobile Data/Multimedia environment.
• Organize and carry out technical viability assessments and effect evaluation for new Mobile Data/Multimedia goods and generate practicality documentation.
• Supervise the meeting with vendors on new market releases and tech upgrade path to guarantee quick deploying of new and creative Mobile Data/Multimedia initiatives.
• Ensure servicing & maintenance of defined network modeling and traffic evaluation resources for proper traffic trending and evaluation inside the Mobile Data/Multimedia environment
• Evaluate the effectiveness of individual team members and finalize appraisals in accordance with the staff productivity evaluation standardized process and time plans.

Qualifications Education:

A first Academic qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Operational structures Engineering or any applicable science courses. Fluent in English
