Entry-level Quality assurance Engineer at Renda Africa in Ilupeju, Lagos

Role summary

We are looking for a inspired Entry-level Quality assurance Engineer (1–2 years of expertise) to join our Quality assurance team. You will be in charge of carrying out test scenarios, recognizing bugs, and making sure premium quality releases across our applications. This position is preferred for someone with basic-level Quality assurance expertise who is prepared to take the next step in building competence in both documented guide and automatic control running test.

Duties

• Evaluate qualifications and user narratives to design and implement documented guide test scenarios
• Execute operational, regression, smoke, sanity, and investigative running test on web, mobile, and API applications.
• Recognize, log, and track faults using standard problem-tracking resources (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Trello).
• Team up with developers and PMs to replicate and settle concerns.
• Assist the setup of Quality assurance environments and project setup of test data.
• Support to and preserve test recordkeeping (test strategies, test scenarios, checklists).
• Gain exposure to automatic control frameworks by helping in the formation and implementation of basic automated scripts (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman for APIs).
• Engage fully in Nimble ceremonies (routine stand-ups, sprint organizing, retrospectives).

Qualifications

• Bsc in Computer Science, Information Tech, Engineering, or relevant field.
• 1–2 years of practical Quality assurance expertise (documented guide running test necessary, automatic control exposure preferred)
• Deep knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Expertise with test management and issue logging resources (Jira, TestRail, etc.)..
• Exposure to automatic control resources which includes Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
• Understanding with API running test resources (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Robust logical and analytical abilities with meticulousness.
• Effective communication and partnership competencies.
