Java engineer at PalmPay Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a proficient and detailoriented Java Developer to assist, improve, and customize the out payment operational base. The successful applicant will work closely with business participants, initiative architects, and Quality assurance teams to ensure the dispatch of premium quality initiatives that allign with the business targets. 

Key Duties

• Design, formulate, and preserve backend operational structures for the Nigerian payment business, making sure system stability, and high effectiveness.
• Work with Business Analysts to convert qualifications into operational and technical designs.
• Handle technical hurdles in system development, ensure code quality and guard, performm code assessments and optimizations.
• Offer technical assist and expertise move to internal IT and assist teams.
• Ensure all development follows with adjustment management, guard, and compliance-related standars.
• Record all customizations, system processes, and setup modifications.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bachelor’s academic qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or associated site.
• At least of 5 years of expertise in java backend development.
• Competence in Java programming language, understanding with Spring Boot structure, expertise in modular, independently deployable services architecture is a plus.
• Expertise in DB design and optimization, understanding with relational databases (such as MySQL).
• Practical expertise with technical solutions like message queues, caching, e.g., Kafka, Redis.
• Understanding with at least one RPC calling structure, with FeignClient being preferred, expertise of GRPC, etc.
• Robust objectoriented programming competencies, well versed with common design patterns and principles, competent of breaking down and simplifying sophisticated challenges.
• Robust issue resolution competencies, capability to work in a dynamic environment while preserving high effectiveness.
• Efficient information exchange competencies and collaboration, competent of partnering with team members from multifaceted profile.
