Spending & Payables Expert at Unified Payment Services Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos

Position Goal(s)

• To guarantee precise & prompt recording of all financial financial record in line with organisation rules, regulations and standard procedures in addition to compliance guidelines.
• To generate such documentation as may be requested under leadership in order to strategic judgment.
• To guarantee prompt acknowledgment of financial obligations arising from organisation transaction, settlement of such financial obligations and other obligatory invoices as at when due.

Obligations & Duties

• Account payable Vendors management: To guarantee that all authorized Employees and Vendor payments or internal requests are effected within accepted timelines; Employees - 24hrs and Vendors-3 operating days.
• Tax management: Making sure that Tax obligations; VAT, WHT, PAYE, Organisation earnings Tax o e.t.c are fulfilled inside the period specified by the applicable Tax legal provisions.
• Processing of PAYE yearly returns and acquiring e-tax clearance certification for all employees.
• TAX Query: Solution of all Tax queries promptly.
• Dollar merchants payments: Planning of payment to USD merchants online, capturing of payment to USD merchants into Finance application 
• Dollar clients management: Making sure that move requests for US Dollars are effected
• Settlement of Card Schemes financial record, VSS files to inflows in the appointed bank account
• Routine settlement of chargeback to avoid exposure due to late presentment.
• Routine processing and organizing Base11 files for all customers.

Qualifications Education:

First academic qualification in Accounting or any numerate subject.  Specialist membership of ICAN/CIMA/ACCA or similar identified specialist accounting bodies is a plus.

Expertise

At least 4 years’ expertise post service

Ability / Skills:

• Show capability to cope with pressure and deliver on time.
• High academic qualification of precision. 
• Logical reasoning abilities and eye for description.
• Robust interpersonal and verbal abilities  Improved Excel user.

Expertise:

Outstanding expertise in cost and financial accounting principles, procedures and standardized processes. Expertise in International Finance reporting Guidelines Expertise in supervisory procedures and principles. Expertise in Card Payment industry.
