Turbine Handler at Grand Oak Limited (GOL) in Ota, Ogun

Position Overview

The Turbine Handler is in charge of the safe, productive, and dependable process of turbines and connected tools in the power production facility. The position includes supervising, directing, and diagnosing issues turbine operational structures to guarantee most effective effectiveness while conforming to safety and ecological rules.

Primary duties

• Operate, track, and regulate steam, gas, or hydro turbines and associated auxiliary operational structures.
• Document and evaluate business data which includes temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
• Begin up and shut down turbines in accordance with standard operating standardized processes.
• Carry out consistent inspections of turbines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary tools.
• Recognize, diagnose issues, and documentation abnormal operating terms or malfunctions.
• Organize with servicing & maintenance teams during repairs and preventive servicing & maintenance.
• Guarantee adherence with safety procedures, ecological guidelines, and organisation rules.
• Preserve precise data records, records, and change documentation.
• Address crisis conditions and take corrective actions as needed.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Certification or Academic qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Plant Engineering (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year expertise in turbine processes (power plant, refinery, or connected sector).
• Solid understanding of turbine operational structures, power production methods, and auxiliary tools.
• Understanding with Distributed Regulate Operational structures (DCS) or SCADA operational structures.
• Capability to read and analyze technical documented guides, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams.
• Good diagnosing issues and analytical abilities.
• Robust dedication to safety and ecological adherence.
• Readiness to operate changes, weekends, and public holidays as necessary.
