Job Description

Position duties

  • Evaluate health of electrical tools, recognize tools deviation outside normal operating parameters.
  • Engage in evaluate of servicing & maintenance position routines and project setup of work method statements
  • Engage in position hazard evaluation / organize position risk evaluation
  • Recognize suitable personal protective tools (PPE) linked to the activity.
  • Collect suitable recordkeeping and organize License to operate.
  • Recognize and stage materials, tools spares and resources for tools servicing & maintenance.
  • Carryout separation of energy acquire in project setup for servicing & maintenance work
  • Implement standard procedure servicing & maintenance initiatives in line with authentic tools manufacturer (OEM) and organisation guidelines.
  • Diagnose issues and evaluate electrical tools faults using diagnostic resources, test devices and measuring instruments.
  • Assist OEM site service delegates during implementation of key tools servicing & maintenance initiatives.
  • Carry out proper room maintenance services and restore work on-site to a safe state after position finalization.
  • Record applicable logbook with effectiveness data post servicing & maintenance work and modify tools servicing & maintenance records
  • Assist assessments of operating/servicing & maintenance standardized process and propose modifications.
  • Assist organizing of electrical scope of key / turnaround / achievement servicing & maintenance initiatives.
  • Engage in tools setback investigative (root cause evaluation) and offer advancement programs.
  • Adhere with Health, safety, and environment procedures and standardized processes.
  • Engage in Health, safety, and environment sessions and on-site safety marketing
  • Close out all other allocated actions in line with audit findings.

Electrical Safety:

  • Expertise in electrical safety, use and application of electrical safety regulations, recognition, and risk reduction of risks.
  • Expertise in electrical guidelines in addition to electrical protection and regulate operational structures.
  • Methods of fix of Ex-tools, which includes constraints of what can or cannot be repaired and accreditation implications and qualifications.

General:

  • Expertise in basic electrical resources and workshop machinery.
  • Expertise in zone classification layouts and electrical tools for hazardous zones
  • Analyze information contained in the various types of electrical drawings.

Work Cycle:

  • The work site is a land-site based
  • Work is Port Harcourt based and you may be necessary to participate courses in  IA PHC or other PHC sites as advised in addition to other formal tasks
  • The position activity period is routine on 12-hour (7am to7pm) standard procedure over a 21-day period.
  • There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off timetable.
  • The successful applicant will oversee own absences with his/her vendor for appropriate certified covers.
  • Staff may be necessary to operate extended hours as need may arises.

Work Expertise:

At least 5  years applicable specialist engineering expertise inside the Petroleum sector Industry.
