About the Position
We are looking for a proficient Mechanical support technician with practical experience in preserving and repairing Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machines and other food wrapping tools. The preferred candidate will ensure smooth generation processes by carrying out prompt servicing & maintenance, diagnosing issues, and repairs while upholding safety and food industry guidelines.
Primary duties
- Preserve, fix, and enhance VFFS and other food packing machines.
- Execute preventive and corrective servicing & maintenance to reduce non-operational time.
- Diagnose issues faults quickly and productively.
- Assist generation teams to meet result and quality targets.
- Keep precise servicing & maintenance records and spare parts usage data records.
Qualifications
- Trade Test 1, 2, 3, OND, Bachelor's degree / Higher national diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Demonstrated expertise with VFFS machines and wrapping tools in the food production operations sector.
- Previous work expertise in the FMCG and food processing industry.
- Robust diagnosing issues and fix competencies.
- Capability to operate independently and within a collaborative environment.
- Live within Sagamu or surrounding area.
