Mechanical / Piping Pre-Initiating & Systems completions engineer at Elper Oilfield Engineering Nigeria Limited in Rivers

Duties

• This role requires operating in a difficult remote marine operations industrial environment on channels or vessels.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and piping operational structures, which includes their installation, running test, and initiating.
• Competence in operating possessing applicable industry codes and guidelines (e.g., ASME, API).
• Outstanding issue resolution and diagnosing issues abilities.
• Clear expression and management abilities to oversee and organize a team and coordinate with various participants.
• Competence in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, and other engineering documents.
• Outstanding planning abilities for coordinating thorough recordkeeping and standardized processes.
• Readiness to operate in a challenging remote marine operations environment.
• Formulate and evaluate pre-initiating and initiating standardized processes, test procedures, and checklists for all mechanical and piping operational structures.
• Oversee and implement all pre-initiating initiatives, which includes line flushing, cleaning, hydro-running test, pneumatic running test, and chemical cleaning.
• Oversee the proper bolting, tensioning, and torquing of all flanged linkages.
• Organize and head system line walks and punch list close-out with customer delegates to guarantee operational structures are finalize and prepared for handover.
• Organize and oversee all necessary pre-initiating and initiating recordkeeping, which includes test packs, documentation, and the concluding handover dossier.
• Diagnose issues and settle technical and business concerns that arise during the pre-initiating and initiating phases.
• Verify that every initiatives are carried out in rigid accordance with project requirements, P&IDs, and relevant safety rules and industry codes (e.g., ASME, API).
• Coordinate with the customer's processes and servicing & maintenance teams for the smooth and productive handover of authorized operational structures.
• Offer technical direction and assist to Pipe Fitters, Mechanical Technicians, and other team members during the project.

Qualifications

A applicable technical Academic qualification in Engineering is essential, with a a member of a professional body in a mechanical or piping site being a plus. At least 5 years of expertise in mechanical and piping engineering, with a minimum of 3 years particularly in remote marine operations pre-initiating and initiating in the petroleum sector environment, with a established history of operating on the Bonga FPSO. The applicant must hold valid remote marine operations qualifications which includes BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certification.
