Position Overview

The Mechanical Completions Engineer will be in charge of conceptualizing safe standardized processes for installation, diagnosing issues and completions of mechanical tools. Development and assessments of mechanical scope of works during engineering, building and initiating stage of works.

Core / Technical:

  • Takes part in project organizing & Planning; arranges and keeps up -to- date the mechanical pre-initiating and initiating scope strategies and standardized processes.
  • Helps the Initiating manager to co-ordinate entire Pre-initiating, Initiating and begin-up methods of mechanical scope in current and prospective pipelines and facilities from starting building organizing through to concluding handover to generation processes/Owner.
  • Engages in conceptualizing initiating strategies and standardized processes, together with other discipline engineers and process staff.
  • Takes part in the Project evaluate sessions to make sure that the initiating qualifications possess been duly obeyed with.
  • Help with the evaluation and selection of mechanical Pre-Initiating external vendor which comprises evaluate of external vendor proposal (tools list, staff, consumables, and credentials).
  • Execute engineering duty linked to the Pre-Initiating initiatives which includes on-site work under direction of the Pre-Initiating Head.
  • Helps in project setup of punch list of initiatives to be finished before pre-initiating and initiating
  • Offer official and informal status updates of work advancement and status.
  • Guarantee adherence with the Quality System Recordkeeping qualifications, evaluate engineering documents for entire initiating thoroughness and authorization
  • Formulate and execute work standardized processes productively.
  • Formulate suitable ITR (assessment and Test records) also known as A and B check-sheets, making sure compatibility with design and tools datasheet for each tag item on P&ID for evaluate and authorization
  • Produce where relevant (either using Customer Software or Excel) the Discipline Acceptance Certification (DAC), Mechanical Finalization Acceptance Certification (MAC), System Acceptance Certification (SAC), Facilities Acceptance Certification (FAC) of finished operational structures in-field for handover from Building stage to Initiating Team.
  • Formulate and preserve customer, vendor and external vendor connection.
  • Formulate and track master punch-list register using either customer proprietary software or excel to capture each discipline, sub-system, tools tags; transparently showing status of cleared and outstanding item.
  • Track and assist subcontractors in-field.
  • In charge of making sure the efficient execution and compliance to Quality, Health & Safety rules during pre-initiating and initiating initiatives.
  • Formulate operational structures and subsystems for mechanical discipline

Qualifications

  • Higher national diploma or above in Engineering
  • Specialist Trade Certification
  • At least 7 years in Mechanical Installation, Calibration, Diagnosing issues, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position, expertise in Finalization Software and Initiating methods.
