Electrical Power Electrical technician at APM Terminals in Port Harcourt, Rivers

Objective of the Position

As an Electrician, you will be in charge of carrying out servicing & maintenance and fix of electrical tools and operational structures in adherence with APMT guidelines and local rules. You will support to business reliability, safety, and asset honesty and reliability, while exchanging your expertise and proficiency within a cooperative collaborative environment.

Functional performance:

• Oversee and implement routine electrical system failure and organized servicing & maintenance duty.
• Demonstrate leadership in conforming to safe operational structures of work, which includes Lock-Out/Tag-Out standardized processes.
• Offer specialist input into electrical fault diagnosis and fix work.

Asset & Cost Management:

• Support to the procurement process by recognizing technical qualifications for spare parts.
• Ensure third-party service providers meet APMT’s quality and safety guidelines.
• Co-develop optimise servicing & maintenance methods and reduce expenses.

Credentials & Expertise

• Academic credentials in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Identified local electrical installation/servicing & maintenance accreditation.
• At least 3 years of expertise in electrical servicing & maintenance, ideally in a terminal or industrial setting.
• Expertise with CMMS operational structures and OEM electrical development is highly preferred.
• Robust issue resolution, recordkeeping, and verbal abilities.
• A safety-first mentality with meticulousness and quality benchmarks.
